The Hazelnuts are a unique musical phenomenon in the Israeli music scene - sweeping large and varied audiences off and on their feet with the swing fever.
The Hazelnuts' tight vocal harmony - inspired by the American close-harmony-singing trios of the 1930' are accompanied by their vintage style band. Together, they take us on a journey back to good old New Orleans, along with their original songs and surprising arrangements for up-to-date hits, the 3 "sisters" being personally responsible for writing and arranging all songs.

Born in the city of Jerusalem (IL), Yifeat is a multidisciplinary vocalist, composer and musical arranger.
Yifeat is the musical director and main vocalist in The Hazelnuts vocal swing band since it started in 2013, all the while she co-leads the ABRA Ensemble - a four-members vocal performance ensemble, dedicated to exploring a wide range of vocal techniques, and performing in Israel and abroad.
Additionally, Yifeat composes and arranges for different ensembles and orchestras in Israel and had also created the music for a full-length theater play - "My Mother's Courage" which was performed at "Tmuna" Theater between 2012-14.
Yifeat has graduated from the Interdisciplinary Composition department in the Rubin Jerusalem Academy of Music in 2014. Aside from her musical activities she also teaches music in various educational institutes and a choirs’ conductor.

After years of "traveling" between different mediums such as dance, theater, photography, visual and digital arts, Shira Z. Carmel now focuses on music, bringing her varied artistic background forth with texts and sounds, and exploring the humane in all its glory and pain through songs. Shira graduated from the Jerusalem Music academy in the interdisciplinary singing department in 2014.

The Hazelnuts (that's us!), The Shira Z. Carmel Quartet (or in short SZCQ), with which she's released her official debut album , The Technicalities - an avant-garde duo with her husband Alon Diament, And the newest addition - The Brasserie - a brass + wind / percussion / voice octet - a collaboration with the talented arranger Orr Sinay.
In addition to her creative activities Shira produces and curates musical and artistic events, and teaches Hebrew for a living. She has hosted the TIZPOREY LAILA (night owls) radio show with Yuval Ben Ami on the national radio station GALATZ between the years 2012-2014.

Born in Holon in 1991, Anat is a pianist, clarinetist and a singer.
In her military service as a musician, Anat participated in the Education and Youth corps singing ensemble.
Since 2010, Anat collaborates with Israeli legendary composer Nurit Hirsh in her ensemble performing and celebrating Hirsh's repertoire of all times.
Anat collaborates with the Haifa - based producer Shuzin in several projects, such as his current project 3421, and in the past, his successful band Uzi Navon & Acquaintances. Anat and Shuzin are currently working on Anat's debut album.
